Karuna is a Sanskrit word meaning “Compassionate Action.” The need for Karuna Reiki ® was best reasoned by Kathy Lipinski, (licensed teacher for ICRT) as the “Yin & Yang” of Reiki. Usui, being more masculine (Yin) and Karuna (Yang) expressing more compassion. This marriage of the Yin & Yang of Reiki produces a higher level of energy for healing and coincides with the increased vibrations of the Universe.
